Freret Clay Center Fund Campaign

New Orleans, LA – August 27, 2011 – Fund Campaign Launch

The Freret Clay Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to develop, promote, and enhance interest in ceramic arts in our local community.

They would like to offer after-school, weekend, and summer camps for children who are in need and keep them smiling.  FCC will offer adult classes eventually as well, which will help supplement our ‘Outreach Programs.’

Many people, schools, and organizations are still recovering from the devastation of the 2005 hurricanes. The Freret Corridor, a once thriving commercial area, is still in recovery. As the ‘corridor’ is surrounded by neighborhoods, naturally everyone is eager to have the community revitalized. There are still many blighted properties in New Orleans, and together we can create a new sense of community.

Please consider making a contribution in support of the Freret Clay Center. Your help is needed to make our ‘seed money’ campaign a success. Your contribution will open doors for many children who lack opportunity and truly need creative alternatives. Any amount is gratefully accepted! Thank you in advance for your consideration. The children of the Freret Neighborhood understand this project would not be possible without help from neighbors both near and far.
