Freret Receives Louisiana Cultural Award

Baton Rouge, LA – The Freret Neighborhood is being recognized by the Lt. Governor’s office as one of the drivers of the creative and Cultural Economy in a ceremony on April 23rd, 2013 in Baton Rouge. A reception and award ceremony will be held at the Capital Park Museum.

The multifaceted improvement in the Freret since 2006 is the result of tremendous work in the private sector leveraging simple public resources to re-brand, protect and highlight the Cultural Resources that are native to our Neighborhood.

Freret is one of 63 Cultural Districts from all corners of the State of Louisiana.
